A very popular mistake is forgetting white balance (WB), which is usually set to automatic. The white balance determines the color temperature of the light for the photo. If you need more than one shot for panoramic photos, you should all have the same white balance - that means the automatic should be switched off if possible, otherwise there are very funny effects. In the following picture with the panoramic photo of Toronto you should pay attention to the stone bench and the wooden path - and no, nobody accidentally dropped 10 liters of bleach.
The following photo was not further processed, so my legs are still visible:)
Here is the detail image to make the error of the forgotten automatic white balance clearly visible:
What´s happening? When taking a photo of the floor, the camera was delighted to change the white balance to the stone bench (centre of the picture) and the wooden planks then suffer in colour. You can save the image by either carrying out a white balance with the image processing software of your choice afterwards or by removing the unimportant ground (as in this case) (which is no longer a complete spherical panorama).
